So We meet again. Stunning work.

I recently drew something based on Taiaha. Based. Without the Traditional Blessings & symbolism, it will only ever be a fancy stick, if I ever get around to carving it at all. Check it or don't. Meanwhile, I'm going to see what else you've made since My last visit, probably drool a bit {figuratively}, and quietly Wish I had your level of skill. Maybe I'll get there someday.

thanks,i checked out yr taiaha, traditional taiaha will have a spear head (generally a tiki with the protruding tounge as the spear) for thrusting, which will taper off to a flat striking blade down the other end,it is a double ended weapon which shouldnt ever leave the hand (ie ,thrown like a spear) but in todays day and age, contempory design is in,i dont do a lot of "traditional"design anymore,(unless its to do with my own tribe),i like to put my own flare into my work now and would probably encourage others to do the same, make it "yours".if you want to carve that design of yours,go for it i reckon, take your time,(i have carvings here over 3 yrs old that still need completion)as you know,(unless commisioned) the end result and the first design can end up looking so much different from each other ,due to other ideas that pop up during the carving prossess,so if your hearts in it,go for it,im sure it will be a thing of beauty when its finished. thanks for the compliments on my work,un fortunatly ,due to house renos etc i havnt done a lot lately, hopefully can get back into it soon
cheers again

That one is tiny, just for practice, and it took Me most of the day to get it right, but *it's still nice to be doing things again* It doesn't compare to your work, but it's something.

I'm saving for a pair of very pretty, half Purple, half yellow, knapped-glass blades, & I intend to mount them on the full size one. Purple & red would be ideal, but I can't find that particular colour-scheme anywhere. I don't Know when I'll have enough cash to spare, but I Hope it's soon. I'd originally planned to use a Bone for the blade, but I couldn't find any Bones here that were wide enough.

I've several unfinished projects in several places that I Wish I had the motivation to finish, and, like you, some are 3 years old. Most of them aren't where I'm at, which isn't good, because I've been doing more than usual lately & might've finished a few.

I Hope you get a bit of free time to create more, or just free time to do whatever. You don't have to Thank Me for the compliments, but you're welcome.
